My players above are going to the United States Olympic Training Center (USOTC), July 29-August 2, 2013, for a Junior Team Training Camp to prepare for the Junior World Championships in Bolivia, October 20-26, 2013.
My “Adult Championship Racquetball Team” led by Rocky Carson, #2 Pro in the World, and Paola Longoria, #1 Pro in the World, will be leaving July 24-29, 2013 to attend the World Games, in Cali, Columbia.
Rocky Carson will be representing the USA in Singles.
Paola Longoria will be representing Mexico in both Singles and Doubles.
The events will be streamed live on the International Federation Racquetball website!
My “Outdoor Championship Racquetball Team” led by Rocky Carson, #1 since 2002, made it to the finals of both Singles and Doubles. He had a hard loss in the Singles finals losing to Alvaro Beltran in a tiebreaker; he immediately bounced back and Rocky and his partner, Bobby, took out Alvaro Beltran and Danny Del LaRossa- also in a tiebreaker, but it went down to the wire with Rocky and his partner fighting off 8 match points before winning 11-10.
As the Outdoor Professional season for Rocky concludes, next up is the World Games and then the first Pro-Stop on the IRT schedule is Kansas City, KA, August 29-September 2013.
After the Amateur season concludes at the World Games, Paola will get ready for the first Pro-Stop on the WPRT schedule in Stockton, CA, August 29th-September 4th, 2013.
Good Luck and Stay Focused!
