PAOLA LONGORIA Also Wins in Mexicali, MX
Paola Longoria, the No. 1 female racquetball player on the planet, won her seventh consecutive and eighth overall United Healthcare US OPEN Racquetball Championships Women’s Professional Singles title October 4-8, in Minneapolis, MN.
Paola dominated the draw, but had to get through some very tough competition on her way to winning her 8th US Open Title. She beat Adriana Riveros from Columbia in the quarters, Rhonda Rajsich from the USA in the semis and Frederique Lambert from Canada in the finals. Paola only lost one single game all week to Frederique in the finals before solidifying her place in history by being the only female player to win 8 US Open Championships.
