HEAD Penn’s Paola Longoria Wins Mexican National Singles Title

Chihuahua, Mexico – February 25, 2018

Paola Longoria, the No. 1 ranked player in the world, has won Mexico’s National Women’s Singles Title yet again for the 12th straight year. With her win in the 20-player National Championship draw, Paola officially punched her ticket to a spot on the Mexican National Team, which she has been a part of since 2006 and has represented her country of Mexico on the adult national team since she was 17 years old.

Longoria and Mexico’s National Team will compete in Pan Am Championships next month in Chile. Paola will also represent her country at the Central American Caribbean Games in late July. The international season wraps up in August at the World Championships in China. I cannot wait to go coach her in all 3 tournaments.

Paola did not lose a single game at the ‘Campeonato Nacional Selective’ tournament and allowed her opponents to score less than seven points per match. On the international stage, Longoria has won 36 medals playing for Team Mexico. Of those medals, 31 have been gold. She has won three World Singles Championships and three World Doubles Championships.

Longoria will return to the court the second weekend in March as the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) visits Atlanta, Georgia for the Peachtree Open.
