Paola Longoria Representing Mexico at the Pan American Championships in Barranquilla, Colombia
Paola Longoria, the No. 1 ranked pro player in the world, and Mexico’s National Team are here in Barranquilla to compete in the Pan Am Championships this coming week, April 13-20. This international tournament is a main qualifier for seeding for the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru this summer.
Paola officially punched her ticket to a spot on the 2019 Mexican National Team March 3rd at the Mexican National Selection Event in Chihuahua, MX by winning the Women’s Doubles Title with her partner, Samantha Salas, and also making the finals of the Women’s Singles Division. Paola is the only member of the team who will compete at the Pan Am Championships in both singles and doubles. She has been a part of the Mexican Team since 2006 and has represented her country of Mexico on the adult national team since she was 17 years old.
We are both excited to be back here as in July 2018 Paola played here in Barranquilla at the Central American Games and took home 3 GOLD Medals…Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles & Team.
Paola will also represent her country at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru this summer in singles and doubles. I cannot wait to coach her in BOTH these tournaments.
Paola is not new to the international stage, as Longoria has won 40 medals playing for Team Mexico. Of those medals, 35 have been gold. She has won two GOLD Medals at the Pan American Games, 2011 & 2015, in both Singles & Doubles and will defend them this year.
Paola Longoria is the Key Note Speaker for Met Life Insurance Company in Mexico City, MX
While training hard for this event Paola Longoria still found time to fly to Mexico City to give a motivational speech to Met Life Insurance Company sharing her story. Paola shared her message of, “With dedication, hard/smart work ethic, commitment, believing in yourself, a positive attitude and never say die attitude that you could achieve whatever you set your mind to.” For Paola it is medal after medal, title after title, record after record and being #1 after #1 and for the Met Life people it could mean sale after sale, commitment after commitment and long term client after long term client.
Paola will return to the court on the professional side the last weekend in April as the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) visits San Antonio, TX for the Battle of the Alamo Regional Championships.
